gbc_seal.jpgGreen business is good business, so CaseStack’s Santa Monica headquarters is proud to call itself a Santa Monica Certified Green Business. The certification process consisted of an office-wide effort to conserve energy, reduce waste, save water, and minimize chemical toxins. The three step inspection process began in December with a 16-page check list of sustainable solutions and alternatives - administered by the city of Santa Monica.

As a business, CaseStack already offers green services such as biodiesel fuel options and consolidation programs, so it only made sense for its internal operations to make the change to green as well. Some new developments include adding energy-saving motion sensors to the vending machines, printing business cards and letterhead on 30% post-consumer recycled product with vegetable-based ink, and cleaning with non-toxic, biodegradable products.

Friday afternoon, February 22, 2008, CaseStack hosted an office-wide celebration recognizing everyone's green efforts with cake, cookies, and milk.
