Angela Mayes has been a Warehouse Account Manager (WAM) in CaseStack since May 14th, 2007. She is known as a straight-forward WAM who has good interaction with the people in the warehouses and is highly disciplined. Reagan See, her co-worker, quoted, “Once she attacks a problem, she will not stop unless the problem is solved.” It is my pleasure to have a short interview with her.

Melisa Giovani (MG): Hi, Angela! So, tell me what do you think about the blog campaign?

Angela Mayes (AM): I actually enjoy reading all the entries. The story about the parking tickets that you wrote is very cute! However, I am not so into posting since I am naturally shy. I did post an entry once about my experience in CaseStack several months ago.

MG: So any suggestions on how we should improve the blog?

AM: I think it’s perfect as it is. It’s a great venue to express everybody’s thoughts and opinions. Keep up the good work!

MG: Thanks! Moving on to the gas price that just hits an all-time high, $4 per gallon last week. Any thoughts on that?

AM: I am literally seven minutes (drive) away from the job, so it is not a big problem traveling to work. The hike in gas price does affect how I live. The fact that I have to spend twice as much on gas in comparison to last year makes me more conscious about my spending on luxury items.

MG: Does that mean you are going to put the purchase of the 2nd generation of I-phone on hold?

AM: As a matter of fact, I am not interested in buying I-phone. I don’t have the 1st generation of the phone, my service carrier is not AT&T, and I am not into fancy phones anyway. I believe that phone is strictly utilitarian. It does not have to be pretty. It is a freedom to forget about your phone sometimes. You are not being chased around. You have your own personal time to do things that you like.

MG: Totally agreed! We’re definitely on the same page in terms of the utilization of a cell phone. Anyway, it's nice chatting with you and thank you so much for your honest opinions!
