Posted on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 01:28PM by Registered CommenterCaseStack Blogger | Comments1 Comment

As CaseStack employees, 70-80% of our commute is conducted alone, in a single automobile. With rising gas prices and the growing need to reduce our carbon footprint, it is the perfect time to consider alternatives to our daily commute.

In thirty days, CaseStack will reveal the new employee trip reduction plan, focused on reducing our total commuting emissions. Human Resources and Marketing will be working together to finalize the details of the plan and execute it beginning of next month. If you have any ideas, thoughts or comments about the program or other creative ways to green CaseStack, please feel free to make a comment.

For those CaseStack Employees that have the ability to do so, a two day a week work from home policy would save both on energy consumption in the office as well as the emissions from driving from out of town into Santa Monica. This will also help to offset the DRASTIC cost of fuel increase that we are all feeing the pinch because of. Just another way to lessen travel time, time sitting in traffic, keep a little more fuel money in the employees pocket, and keep CaseStack in the Green.
